(TheRedWire.com) – Many Republicans have blasted Jared Kushner following his recent $2 billion investment in Saudi Arabia. The deal was closed around six months after former President Donald Trump, his father-in-law, left the White House in 2021.
Republican candidate Chris Christie brought up the case of Kushner’s investment during a speech in New Hampshire on Wednesday. As he pointed out, there were similarities between Kushner’s and Hunter Biden’s business dealings.
House Republicans have spent the last year investigating Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings while investigating allegations that his father, President Joe Biden, was a part of the business activities. However, both Joe Biden and the White House have repeatedly claimed that Biden was unaware of his son’s business activities.
During his speech in Salem, New Hampshire, Christie pointed out that Affinity Partners, Kushner’s firm, had received over $2 billion in Saudi Arabia investments. As Christie pointed out, during the Trump administration, Kushner had been heavily involved in Middle East policy even though the secretaries of state, Rex Tillerson and Mike Pompeo, were there. Despite this, Trump would often send Kushner to the Middle East.
Christie proceeded to allege that the reason why Kushner was the one being sent to the middle east became apparent after the end of the Trump administration after Kushner received $2 billion in investment. He added that now they had another President in office who was doing the same thing by allowing Hunter Biden to sell “access” to the President.
