Ron DeSantis Says He'll Bus Illegals to Biden's Home State

( – In late March, The Biden administration announced it was preparing to end Title 42. Former President Donald Trump implemented the health provision to halt illegal immigration during the pandemic to prevent the spread of COVID-19. On March 30, White House communications director Kate Bedingfield told reporters the government expects significant growth in illegal immigration numbers at the southern border once the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) formally lifts the order on May 23.

On Wednesday, April 7, DeSantis said if the Biden administration ships illegal immigrants to Florida from Texas, he’ll load them on buses and send them to sanctuary states like Delaware. It’s the second time the Florida governor said he would act. This time, the state legislature appropriated funding so the governor could send illegal immigrants to Biden’s home state, where he served as a Senator for over three decades.

Since DeSantis’ first warning, the federal government has flown illegals into Florida under cover of night. Still, the governor said he would bus them out to keep Florida citizens safe.

According to Axios, once the CDC lifts Title 42, US officials believe over 170,000 illegal immigrants could show up at the southern border.
