(TheRedWire.com) – The presidential election was held on November 3, 2020, and ever since that date, President Donald Trump’s legal team has reportedly discovered election irregularities in several states. So far, the courts within those contested states have uniformly ruled the uncertainties are not significant enough to overturn the results.

Attorney Sidney Powell has been battling in several jurisdictions, and on Sunday, December 13, she filed an emergency petition with the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to simultaneously consider the cases from Georgia, Michigan, and Arizona.

Although each state court might have been correct in their individual assessment, only the High Court would have the authority to study the lower courts’ rulings simultaneously to decide if there is a pattern of corruption. The nine justices already have refused to hear a case brought by Texas for lack of standing of the petitioners, but this latest appeal attacks from a different angle.

By having actual individuals claiming their rights have been violated rather than one state suing others, Powell believes SCOTUS may rule differently. While one state cannot claim any injury from the internal workings of another, citizens from within their borders are a different story.
