(TheRedWire.com) – It might strike some as odd someone would video their arrest. Ever the promoter, Steve Bannon had a good reason to record his arrest on Monday morning, November 15. Three days earlier, a federal grand jury indicted former President Donald Trump’s chief strategist on contempt of Congress charges. The former White House adviser refused to comply with a January 6 House Select Committee subpoena, declining to appear before the partisan group. The Department of Justice charged Bannon for refusing to appear at a deposition and produce requested documents.

Bannon surrendered himself to the FBI, but he did it with flair. He wasn’t alone. Viewers on Bannon’s GETTR account joined him as he live-streamed the event. As the video streamed live, Bannon looked at the camera as he walked with FBI agents. The former Trump confidant said he was taking down the Biden administration, and he didn’t want anyone to take their eyes off the ball. He said despite traditional Democratic constituencies, the GOP was drawing Hispanics and blacks away from Democrats.
Bannon implored his followers to stay on message and not get caught up in whatever noise comes their way; he emphasized signal over noise. Pointing at the FBI building, he said it was all noise, but then pointing to the camera, he said that was the signal.
