(TheRedWire.com) – Former President Donald Trump who is the presumptive GOP nominee for the 2024 presidential race stated on Saturday during the NRA Leadership Forum in Dallas that he accepted the enforcement of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

During his speech which was aired in its entirety live both on the streaming platform Newsmax2 and on Newsmax, Trump argued that it was an honor to have the endorsement of the association members whom he referred to as “patriots.” He proceeded to say that those in the association were “great people” and that moving forward they would do things that no one believed.

Trump added that they would be winning the upcoming election at a level that no one before him had ever seen and that he was thankful for this endorsement.

Trump also took the opportunity during his speech to slam the Democrats arguing that they were putting the Second Amendment “under siege” not only with guns and firearms but also all other things. However, he argued that they would continue to stand strong against this push from the Democrats.

The NRA had first backed the former President in 2016 during his first presidential campaign. Since then they have been big supporters during his term in office where he appointed three conservative justices to serve in the country’s highest court.

Trump had urged his supporters in the NRA and other gun rights groups to vote in his favor so that he could win the 2024 presidential election. He has argued that this will help the Republicans win over the Democrats.
