(TheRedWire.com) – On Thursday night President Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign put out a new digital ad in which they blast former President Donald Trump over his comments regarding football being “boring.”

In the 20-second video, there is a clip of Trump from one of his rallies in which he claims that “football is boring as hell.” The video also features a photograph of Biden sitting there with Kansas City Chief star Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes after their team visited the White House following their win at the Super Bowl last year.

Another statement by Trump is featured in the video in which he argued that no one cared about football as it was boring. In contrast to this statement are all the photos of Biden with the football players. The video ends by encouraging voters to make the right pick in the next presidential election.

The video was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, just before the start of the first round of the NFL draft in Detroit. The video aims to highlight how Biden was a “football fan” who had watched the SuperBowl much like 120 million Americans had done this year.

Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung took to X to respond to the video by arguing that Biden was incapable of even holding a football. He had then shared a 1992 video of Trump in which he threw a football and argued that this was what “real athletes” looked like.

Second gentleman Douglas Emhoff who was in attendance during the draft argued that Americans united and watched football, but that Trump was just “sitting on the sidelines” posting his rage on Truth Social, which he referred to as a failing social media platform.
