Trump Responds Angrily to ’60 Minutes’ Coverage of Election Fraud
(TheRedWire.com) – In the wake of the 2020 presidential election, Dominion Voting Systems came under intense criticism. Former President Donald Trump and many GOP allies alleged their voting machines were problematic. Some people theorized that the company used software from Venezuela to flip votes from the president to then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden as part of an election fraud scheme. On Sunday, October 23, the company’s CEO appeared on 60 Minutes to counter the claims. Soon after, Trump angrily blasted the new show’s coverage.
CBS 60 Minutes reporter Anderson Cooper asked Dominion’s CEO, John Poulos, whether he had any involvement with the late Hugo Chavez, whether his company used questionable software utilized to steal elections in other countries, and whether his machines flipped votes. Poulos said no to each question. Needless to say, the interview didn’t sit well with the former president.

Trump blasted the news show as a “Democrat propaganda machine” and said the story was a “JOKE!” In 2020, his lawyers alleged that election fraud perpetrators used Dominion’s voting machines as part of an attempt to steal the election. In response, the company has sued several businesses, conservative groups, and right-wing media outlets, including Fox News. The popular cable outlet said it’s protected under Freedom of the Press and is confident it will win. The news channel added the lawsuit was nothing more than a “flagrant attempt to deter” reporters from looking into the claims.
