(TheRedWire.com) – On Sunday, former President Donald Trump attacked Bill Barr, his former attorney general, over his recent criticisms of Trump’s verbal skills. Barr had made the comments against Trump on Friday at a public forum.
Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to slam Barr’s comments and suggest that this was his attempt to “get even” as Trump had been tough on him during his time serving in the Trump administration. He then proceeded to verbally attack Barr, calling him “Dumb, Weak, Slow Moving, Lethargic, Gutless, and Lazy.” He added that Barr was a RINO, Republican in Name Only, who had been unable to carry out the job as needed and who had tried to avoid impeachment.
In his post, Trump claimed that he had been hard on Barr during his time in the White House and that now Barr was trying to “get even,” which was why he had claimed that Trump’s “verbal skills are limited.” The former President argued that this is the first time he has ever heard that claim and that Barr should make this statement in front of the “biggest political crowds” in the history of U.S. politics. He proceeded to call Barr a “Loser.”
Barr had served in the Trump administration until late 2020 when the former President refused to accept that he had lost the presidential election. During a recent event at the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago, he claimed that if you removed Trump from the word “very,” Trump was unfamiliar with the rest of the adjectives, resulting in him going too far.
