Trump Slams Pelosi for Stalling the Stock Trading Ban
(TheRedWire.com) – Over the years, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has garnered criticism over her husband’s rather lucky gains in the stock market. Recently, the Democratic leader said she supported a ban to stop members of Congress and their families from trading stocks after she previously stated Congressional rules should allow lawmakers to participate in the free market. On Sunday, October 9, former President Donald Trump held a rally in Arizona for GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and Senate candidate Blake Masters. During the event, he slammed the career politician for stalling stock trading ban legislation.
In September, Pelosi suggested the House could vote on legislation banning the trading of stocks. Yet, she ultimately pulled it from consideration after Democratic leaders said legislators needed more time to review it, and the Speaker claimed it didn’t have the votes to pass. Trump blasted Pelosi and stated she’d done better at stock trading than Warren Buffet. The former president added the House leader doesn’t want to change anything. He said he wasn’t sure about her husband’s dealings but asked who was “running that deal.”

Trump added that Republicans would end “crazy Nancy Pelosi’s political career.” Whether or not Democrats keep the House, the California lawmaker has suggested she would not run for the House Speaker position again, though she is running for re-election. According to the RealClearPolitics poll of averages, Pelosi has ratings of 35.3 favorable and 56.8 unfavorable.
