(TheRedWire.com) – On Friday, former President Donald Trump posted a new campaign video in which he stated that if he wins back the White House, he will push for human traffickers to be given the death penalty. He further argues that he would use Title 42, a now-defunct health order that the Trump administration had implemented during the pandemic, to return all children that have been victims of trafficking back to their parents, families, and countries of origin.
Trump argued that if he is in office, he will push Congress to pass legislation to ensure that all those who traffic children through the country’s southern policy are given the death penalty.
Trump is currently the frontrunner in the Republican primary race. Throughout his campaigning, he often touted his administration’s successes when it came to improving border security while also attacking President Biden for his decision to allow the influx of immigrants into the U.S. through the border.
He argued in the video that if he wins back the White House, he would immediately end Biden’s policies that have allowed the border not to be secure and have enabled traffickers to take advantage of vulnerable children and women. He further argued that he would ensure the wall was safe and destroy the cartels like he had destroyed the ISIS caliphate.
Trump has also previously claimed that his administration had historically been the one to take the most action to end human trafficking and modern-day slavery.
