(TheRedWire.com) – GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump alleged in front of a group of donors that President Joe Biden is running a “Gestapo administration.” He also slammed the prosecutors who have been involved in the criminal cases against him.
Trump, who has often been accused by civil rights groups and other critics of using rhetoric resembling the one of Nazi Germany’s leader Adolf Hitler during World War II, argued on Saturday ruing a donor retreat at Mar-a-Lago that it was Biden who was running a “Gestapo administration.” These comments came after Trump spoke once again about how the indictments against him are politically motivated.
The New York criminal trial relating to Trump’s hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels went on for 11 days. The charges against Trump are for falsifying business records in an attempt to cover the $130,000 payment made to Daniels.
Trump in an audio recording heard by The Washington Post and The New York Times argued that they were running a “Gestapo administration.” He continued by saying that this was the only thing they could do and the only way in which they would be able to actually win an election. He added that this was not bothering him but it was killing them.
Trump, who had one term in the White House from 2017 to 2021 is facing several civil and criminal cases ahead of his attempt to win back the White House in the Nov. 5 presidential election. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has denied any wrongdoing in the cases.
