Trump Says Mitch McConnell Would Rather See Biden President Over Him

Trump EXPOSES What Mitch McConnell Really Wants

(TheRedWire.com) – From the beginning of former Donald Trump’s presidency, he and then- Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) were at odds with one another. In 2017, McConnell said Trump had unrealistic expectations and expressed concern to some about whether or not the president could salvage his presidency. It’s 2022, and the two men still don’t get along, especially after McConnell scorned Trump after the Senate voted not to prevent him from running for office again at the conclusion of the January 6 impeachment by the House.

On Sunday, May 1, the 45th Commander in Chief released a statement slamming McConnell after a new book reported he allegedly said Trump discredited himself after the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill. Trump said McConnell and his RINO (Republican in Name Only) buddies would prefer to see Biden in the presidency than a Republican like himself. The former president said Congress worked better for his agenda that way, but not so much for the country.

McConnell has remained quiet regarding Trump’s statement. The Minority Leader is also staying quiet on a text sent by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in early 2021, stating he would encourage Trump to resign as a result of the fallout from the January 6 riot.

Despite their differences, McConnell said if Trump wins a Republican primary, he will absolutely support him as the GOP’s nominee in 2024.
