(TheRedWire.com) – On Friday, former President Donald Trump, who is the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, claimed in front of a group of attendees at The People’s Convention by Turning Point Action that he still felt very young.
Trump’s speech was aired live on Newsmax as well as the streaming platform Newsmax2. In it, he thanked the crowd for the wishes and stated that he still felt very young. He added that he did not know what was causing it but he actually felt better now than he had three decades ago. Still, he noted that while he might not know why it was happening it still felt very good.
Trump also used this opportunity to once again push that President Joe Biden needed to take the cognitive test. Biden, who is the oldest U.S. president to ever be elected or serve in office, turned 82 in November. Trump has also claimed that this should be a requirement for all U.S. presidents and that he has taken one twice in the past.
In Detroit, while speaking to younger voters Trump was trying to appeal to a demographic that has historically gone to the Democrats. Instead, he argued that he was the presidential candidate that is most fit to serve in office as he had been the healthiest U.S. president to ever sit in office.
Still, despite his push for mandatory cognitive testing, he did admit that it is “unconstitutional” to have such a mandate in place. He added that instead, they would need to just “live with” Biden.
