(TheRedWire.com) – On Friday, former President Trump sent out a new email campaign in which he took aim at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

Steven Cheung, Trump’s spokesperson in a statement noted that “The real DeSantis record is one of misery and despair,” and that across Florida people are hurting because he has spent most of his time on “public relations games” instead of actually focusing on the “hard work” necessary for the lives of people in his state to be improved.

Trump, who lives in Florida, has increased his attacks against DeSantis, as the Florida governor is considering potentially placing a bid for the White House. In his recent email campaign, Trump sent out an email containing a number of statistics that would portray Florida negatively. One of the statistics included noted that the state is one of the least affordable states to live in.

The email also criticized Florida for being “among the worst states” to live, work, retire, and even raise a family in. The statistics included came from various organizations including the U.S. News and World Report, Money Inc., and the Florida Policy Institute.

According to the email, the cost of living in Florida has increased by 10 percent in the last year. Home prices have similarly skyrocketed. The email pointed out that following the severe storms 47 percent of fuel stations in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area did not have any gas.

This is only the latest attack that Trump has launched against DeSantis, who is considered his biggest challenger for the 2024 presidential nomination.
