(TheRedWire.com) – On Thursday Former President Donald Trump revealed his “Save American Education” plan which provided insight into what a second term in office would look like for Trump if he won the 2024 election.
The video was originally posted by Trump War Room, Trump’s campaign, and it included the outline of several policies that the GOP has also been pushing for. This included not allowing schools to teach “critical race theory, gender ideology or other inappropriate racial, sexual or political content onto our children.”
There would also be several other policies which would include investigating schools that have “engaged in race-based discrimination,” and removing “radical zealots and Marxists” from the Department of Education.
The former president added that what is happening in the school system is the “ultimate form” of control and that nothing of this sort has happened before within their country.
GOP politicians have widely been focusing on having a public education reform, and education was one of the key topics that were pushed by candidates during the midterm elections. Republican-led states have also been clear about gender ideology not being taught in schools, with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ controversial “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which blocked gender ideology and identity teachings in the classroom for children before the third grade. Indiana has also passed its own bill that blocked schools from encouraging the use of pronouns and names that are not based on the biological sex of those in the school.
