(TheRedWire.com) – On Tuesday, President Biden announced via a pre-taped video that he was launching his 2024 re-election bid. Following his announcement former president and Republican 2024 contender Donald Trump released a statement to welcome Biden to the race which included several attacks on Biden’s record.

In the statement, Trump stated that even if one combined the “five worst presidents in American history” the damage that they had done to the country would be less than the damage Biden has done during his presidency. Trump proceeded to attack Biden’s handling of the economy, inflation, immigration, and the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan before accusing Biden of being “the most corrupt president in American history.”

Trump claimed that the inflation was a result of Biden’s “socialist spending calamity” and he further claimed that U.S. cities were a “dumping ground” for illegal immigrants. He proceeded to accuse Biden of weaponizing law enforcement against conservatives and Republicans. He also accused the left of indoctrinating American children, arguing that even the military has gone “woke.”

His biggest accusation against Biden though was that he had humiliated the U.S. on the world stage and that had it not been for him the Russian invasion of Ukraine would not have happened. He proceeded to argue that Biden had brought the country to “the brink of World War III.” He concluded that based on all of Biden’s actions so far it is “almost inconceivable” that he is running for re-election in 2024.
