Biden Administration Responsible for “Environmental Terrorism,” Tucker Carlson Claims
(TheRedWire.com) – On Wednesday, September 28, some European leaders said deliberate sabotage was the likely cause of leaks in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines that run under the Baltic Sea. On Tuesday, September 27, Fox News host Tucker Carlson called the situation an atrocity. Based on a past statement from President Joe Biden, the conservative commentator suggested he sabotaged the pipeline and committed “environmental terrorism.”
Carlson said it would be unlikely that Russian President Vladimir Putin would destroy his own pipelines because they are a source of economic wealth, and energy is a tool to leverage against Europe. Still, he stated other countries might try it. The host showed a clip from February of President Biden promising to end the Nord Stream 2 pipeline if Putin invaded Ukraine. When a reporter asked how he would do it, the commander in chief responded, “I promise you; we will be able to do it.”
The Fox News host noted the president didn’t say the US would pause energy deliveries from Russia. Instead, Carlson said Biden would “put an end to it.” He suggested the Left’s climate change agenda was partly at the root of his allegation. He noted that Biden made climate change an emergency and cited several examples. Carlson remarked that in retrospect, the president’s words seemed “chilling.”
Carlson concluded by saying Radek Sikorski, a Polish member of the European Parliament, attributed the damage to the United States when he tweeted a picture of the gas leak and a note thanking the US.
