(TheRedWire.com) – On Sunday, former Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) stated that special counsel John Durham’s final report on the origins of the FBI investigation examining possible collusion between former President Donald Trump and Russia shows the “total collapse of the justice system.”

Nunes, a former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who is currently the CEO of Trump Media stated during an interview on Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that this was a “sad day” for the nation and even noted that the Durham report in many ways “reads like the tombstone for the justice system.” He added that while it was known that there was criminality there was nothing that they could do about it. This is what the Durham report also notes.

Nunes added that there was a lot of important information in the report but that so far nothing has really been done about it.

On Monday, Durham released his final report which was 305 pages long. In it, he determined that the FBI did not have enough information to warrant opening the investigation into the allegations of the Trump campaign being tied to Russia. He further proceeds to criticize the FBI’s investigation calling it “seriously deficient.”

One of the points that Durham brings up is how the FBI failed to corroborate the Steele Dossier, which included many allegations about Trump, who was at the time a candidate in the 2016 presidential election, and his alleged ties to Russia. The dossier was also used later on for a warrant that allowed them to spy on Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser.
