(TheRedWire.com) – During the 2020 presidential election, then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden declared he would never politicize the Justice Department. Yet, it appears that’s exactly what happened after Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a decree directing the FBI to investigate confrontations and other incidents at local school board meetings. Garland’s directive came days after the Biden administration received a letter from the National School Boards Association (NSBA) asking the DOJ to help silence concerned parents.
The White House was “actively engaged” with the National School Boards Association before it sent a letter to the Biden administration asking that the feds investigate outspoken parents and likening them to domestic terrorists, an internal memo reveals. https://t.co/gzPFvfZ4Fa

It seems the NSBA and perhaps the DOJ weren’t working in isolation. In a memo sent by the NSBA on October 12, the organization’s president, Dr. Viola Garcia, suggested the White House ordered the Attorney General to act. Parents Defending Education says they have proof the Biden administration actively engaged the NSBA before it forwarded the correspondence to AG Garland.
On September 14, two weeks before the NSBA sent their letter to President Biden, the group said the NSBA met with White staff. What might have prompted their meeting? The October 12 memo also states the organization didn’t just meet with the White House. It also engaged with the DOJ, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Education, Surgeon General, and other agencies.
So, did the White House collude with the NSBA and direct the DOJ to act?
You be the judge.
