White House Releases Plan to Reverse Key Policies

(TheRedWire.com) – Since President Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20, the president has focused on undoing as many of former President Donald Trump’s accomplishments as possible. From 2017 through 2020, then-President Trump deregulated many environmental policies to make them more business-friendly. As a businessman and builder, the former president understood the government’s barriers and the cost burdens regulations present to the economy. Biden is an altogether different animal. He’s a fifty-year establishment Democrat who believes the government should regulate much of the economy.

The White House recently announced its intention to reverse Trump’s rollback of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The law forces the government to consider the environmental impacts of construction projects such as roads, airports, pipelines, and buildings. State, industry, and non-profit’s praised the former president for eliminating redundant red tape in the construction process that slowed projects and cost companies and states money. They called it a modernization effort.

The Biden administration says the reversal will occur in two stages. The first restores rules that existed for decades forcing companies to consider environmental implications. The administration claims that phase two will restore decades-old regulations to ensure infrastructure project rules are clear and construction companies will build projects right the first time.

So, isn’t Biden actually setting America back?
