(TheRedWire.com) – Majority of Americans have noted that they do not want to see the 2024 presidential match turn into another President Biden vs. former President Trump race.

However, following Biden’s Tuesday video announcement of his reelection bid, it is widely expected that the President is going to be the Democratic nominee for next year’s presidential election. Trump on the other hand has a slightly more challenging road in front of him for winning the presidential election. In fact, the 2024 GOP primary is expected to be a crowded race with many competitors. Still, Trump appears to be leading in all of the polls despite his legal troubles. In fact, according to some polls, Trump is currently leading the 2024 GOP primary by double digits, months before the first scheduled debate.

A rematch between the two men could potentially lead to a repetition of one of the most divisive presidential elections in U.S. history. This resulted in Trump being unwilling to concede leading to his supporters storming the U.S. Capitol and forcing the evacuation of Congress.

David Hopkins, an author and political science professor at Boston College noted that there are very few people who are excited about the possible rematch and that there are not a lot of people who want to see these two men running for the White House again.

An NBC News poll published on Sunday showed that 70 percent of Americans and 51 percent of Democrats don’t believe that Biden should seek reelection in 2024. Similarly, 60 percent of Americans do not think that Trump should be running for the White House again.
