Ocasio-Cortez Has BREAKDOWN – Witness Goes Too Far!
(TheRedWire.com) – On Thursday, September 15, things got a little heated between Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) and left-wing green energy activist Raya Salter. That situation led Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to interject and scold her conservative colleague.
Rep @AOC (D-NY) goes after Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) for yelling at witness Raya Salter during a House Oversight hearing about the climate crisis:

During the exchange between Salter and Higgins, the activist raised her voice louder than the Louisiana congressman as he repeatedly tried to persuade her to answer a question. The congressman wanted to know what she would do with products created with petrochemicals. Salter replied that he should “search his heart.” She also suggested he familiarize himself with EPA reports regarding the most toxic producing plants and that they are killing black people in his state. Both grew frustrated and loud at times.
AOC decided to devote some of her allotted time for questions to addressing the exchange. She erupted and said she had never seen that kind of behavior from a member of Congress during her time in office. She said Higgins disrespected Salter and said he could get his point across without screaming. Yet, she didn’t recognize it was going both ways. Then, AOC insinuated he was a misogynist for yelling at Salter in public. She also questioned how he treats women in private if he’s willing to behave that way in public.
