Notably, 18 of these cases have required hospitalization, yet no fatalities have been reported.
The recall affects whole fresh American cucumbers sold under various brands, including SunFed, Baloian Farms, and Russ Davis Wholesale. These products were distributed widely between October 12 and November 26, triggering an investigation by the CDC and FDA to pinpoint the source.
