(TheRedWire.com) – A new report alleged that former First Lady Michelle Obama is frustrated with the Biden family after Kathleen Buhle, a close friend of hers, had been pushed aside following her divorce from President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.
This upset, as well as her general dislike for partisan politics is the reason Michelle Obama has not been campaigning for the president ahead of the November election, despite her popularity. The Obamas and Bidens have had a strained relationship following some events that unfolded in 2015 when then-Vice President Biden had claimed that President Barack Obama had discouraged him from running for office.
In 2017, Hunter Biden got divorced from Buhle after he had an affair with the widow of his brother Beau Biden.
Michelle Obama has refrained from attending any events hosted by Biden, while her husband has continued to attend events, and state dinners and has been an advocate for Biden online.
In 2017, Barack Obama had also been present at a Beau Biden Foundation fundraiser, during which Hunter Biden was dating Hallie Biden, his brother’s widow. Michelle Obama has stated that she feels Buhle was wronged with this entire situation.
Despite this in 2020, she campaigned for Joe Biden in the presidential election, and first lady Jill Biden attended the memorial service for Michelle Obama’s mother Marian Robinson who recently passed away.
Michelle Obama’s spokesperson has not provided any comments regarding this report and has not disclosed whether she will speak at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
