(TheRedWire.com) – While former President Donald Trump has already launched his 2024 presidential campaign he has not yet announced who his running mate will be. Former Vice President Mike Pence is unlikely to be joining Trump for another run after the way they parted following the end of the Trump administration. Still despite the speculations, so far Pence has not officially made any announcements regarding the 2024 presidential election and whether he would be running himself.

On Wednesday during an interview with the Hill, Pence spoke about the chaos and infighting within the GOP in the first week of Congress. This is not the first time that Pence has taken an active position in political discourse. In fact, over the past few months, he has aggressively traveled to many key primary states, in order to promote both his new book and support his political advocacy group.

As he said he is planning to continue his travels saying that whether he will do that as a presidential candidate or a supporter of conservative values remains to be seen.
During the interview Pence shied away from criticizing Trump on anything, however, he did say that he believed that there would be better candidates that the GOP might choose ahead of the 2024 presidential race.

So far, Trump is the only GOP candidate to have officially launched a 2024 campaign. Despite this, Pence has said that he believes it is time for new leadership. He added that he was certain the American public would choose a better GOP nominee.
