In an interview with conservative commentator Tomi Lahren on Outkick, DeSantis expressed his belief that the Biden administration has failed on multiple fronts. He humorously remarked that the situation was more than he initially thought.
DeSantis contrasted the incident with his experience in Florida’s governor’s mansion, where he and his wife have three young children. He mentioned that while they occasionally have to deal with the typical parenting challenges, such as getting rid of slimy residue on the carpet or erasing marker marks from the wallpaper, they have never encountered drugs within their residence.
The Secret Service confirmed that the suspicious substance discovered at the White House was indeed cocaine. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre explained during a briefing that the area where it was found is frequently visited by many individuals, including West Wing visitors. However, it remains unclear who brought the substance into the premises.
President Biden and his family were not present at the White House when the cocaine was discovered. They were at Camp David during that time.
Former President Trump also shared his thoughts on the matter through a post on Truth Social, a social media platform. Trump questioned the absence of White House security tapes and referred to providing videos to someone named Deranged Jack Smith in the past. He claimed that the recordings could swiftly reveal the source of the cocaine within the White House, implying that the answer is already known but perhaps disliked by specific individuals.
