(TheRedWire.com) – Former President Donald Trump revealed to his supporters during a rally in Nevada that he was fine with the blame for the border bill being negotiated in the Senate failing falling on him.
Trump, who is currently leading the presidential race, noted while speaking to a crowd of his supporters in Las Vegas that he would welcome being blamed for the bipartisan border security bill failing if he could successfully convince Congress Republicans to block the bill.
As he argued on Saturday as the leader of the GOP he did not support at all the open borders which betrayed the country. He added that he would continue to fight against it and that many senators were trying to place the blame for it on me. He then added that it was okay and argued that the blame could be put on him.
Trump also proceeded to blast President Joe Biden for his Friday statement where he had argued that he would be shutting the U.S.-Mexico border when it became “overwhelmed” if Congress managed to pass bipartisan border legislation.
During his statement, Biden had argued that if what they had negotiated ended up passing then it would be the toughest reforms that the U.S. has ever had to secure its border. He added that it would also include granting the President new emergency authority to completely shut down the U.S. border when it became overwhelmed. He then pointed out that if this authority became available to him he would use it on the same day that he signed the bill.
