(TheRedWire.com) – President Biden during his MLK Jr. Day’s remarks noted that police officers do not require deadly force and that F-15s would only be needed if they were trying to take on the government. These comments were met with a lot of criticism online, as many on Twitter pointed out that the President’s comments were inaccurate.

During an appearance at National Action Network’s annual The Dream Defined breakfast, President Biden focused his remarks on the positive changes and efforts of his administration in order to help better support the Black community. One of the key issues that Biden claims to have targeted includes banning police chokeholds and restricting no-knock warrants through an executive order.

He added that the police needed to be retrained as there was no reason for them to shoot with deadly force. In fact, he added that even if a weapon needs to be used there is no reason for it to be used in a way that could be deadly. He continued to talk about the importance of law enforcement being restrained in a way that allows them to better serve the communities they are meant to protect.

However, many online disagreed and criticized Biden’s comments. Kerry Pickett, a Washington Times senior congressional reporter, noted that despite all of the efforts made by the Democrats to move away from the ‘Defund the Police’ movement the party’s leaders continue to be critical of the police claiming that they dislike minorities, despite the fact that many cops belong to minorities themselves.
