(TheRedWire.com) – A sheriff in Florida compared photos of a secure and unsecure border following the growing concerns about mass migration from Haiti.

Following weeks of gang violence in Haiti and over 4,500 inmates breaking out of jail, there have been renewed concerns from Florida officials about migrants potentially entering the United States. According to reports the gangs had now taken control of more of Port-au-Prince, the capital city, while also essentially removing the nation’s acting prime minister Ariel Henry. Having control of 80 percent of the city they are now seeking to create a transitional presidential council to make the ousting official.

Military officials from the United States, some of whom had received requests from Rep. Matt Gaetz to block Haitian ships in the Atlantic, have stated that this week they were anticipating that there would be an increase in the mass migration flows in the country. On Wednesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis deployed Florida State Guard, Division of Emergency Management soldiers, and over 250 officers from the state Guard and law enforcement agencies to the southern coast of the state.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd stated during a press conference on Friday that the state’s governor was doing everything possible to protect the country. He proceeded to say while holding up a photo of the border, that this was the border that those in the executive branch and Congress were referring to as a “secure border.” He then held up a different photo of what an unsecured border was. He added that everyone seemed to be aware of the difference apart from the people in Congress.
