(TheRedWire.com) – Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the chair of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, is focusing the committee’s investigations into the case of the mishandled classified documents found in President Biden’s previous office.

As Comer has pointed out it is incredibly important to find out who might have been able to access the documents that were in an office at the Penn Biden Center. The probe is going to be looking through the visitor log to determine who might have met with Biden at the think tank, as well as checking out the security at the facility. Finally, as part of the investigation, they will also be checking out the donations made to the center that may potentially link back to China.

Comer sent out a letter to the University of Pennsylvania President Mary Elizabeth Magill on Tuesday in which he requested that all the necessary material relating to this investigation be handed over by Feb 1.

This is not the only request that Comer has put out in relation to the investigation. Over the weekend he also asked the White House to provide the visitor logs for Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware Home. However, he was soon informed that since this is a private residence there is no visitor log being kept. Two batches of classified documents from the Obama administration had been found there.

Comer’s Oversight and Accountability Committee is one of the several committees that have launched a probe into the mishandling of the classified documents found in Biden’s possession. The House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) also launched an investigation into the case, focusing on the actions taken by the Department of Justice.
