(TheRedWire.com) – Former President Donald Trump, who is the presumptive GOP nominee for 2024 launched his latest campaign ad which is focused on the illegal migrant crisis. In the ad, his campaign points out that the crisis has resulted in an increase of crime, and cost for taxpayers, and that illegal migrants were in favor of President Joe Biden because of his open border policy.
In the campaign video which features clips of migrant crimes and caravans crossing the border, Trump states that migrants are entering the country through the border. He adds that the migrants come from all over the world and that they are coming in by the thousands. Trump proceeds to say that no one would be able to afford this and that it is morally wrong.
Immigration is one of the key issues in the minds of GOP primary voters according to exit polls. Historically the No. 1 spot has been the economy, but the border crisis and immigration are quickly overtaking it.
On Saturday in a post on Truth Social Trump stated that they are going to be securing the border and restoring the sovereignty of the country.
The video features clips of migrants crossing illegally into the country, committing crimes, and expressing support for President Biden while also chanting their home countries’ names. There are also photos of Laken Riley, the Georgia nursing student who was found dead on the university campus as well as her alleged murderer, a migrant from Venezuela. The video aims to point out the big difference between Biden and Trump.
