(TheRedWire.com) – On Saturday, while speaking in front of a crowd at Florida Republican Party’s Freedom Summit in Kissimmee, Florida, former President Donald Trump alleged that had the 2020 presidential election not been “rigged,” then millions of people who have lost their lives in global conflicts would continue to be alive.

Many 2024 GOP candidates spoke during the summit, but Trump delivered his keynote speech on Saturday evening. In it, he stated elections were very important, especially when considering that had it not been for the “rigged” 2020 election, there would be millions of people still alive as the attacks on Ukraine and Israel would not have occurred. He added that those “cities would be thriving.”

Trump has consistently claimed that the 2020 election was “stolen” and “rigged.” As a result of these claims, he is now facing legal charges brought forward by the Department of Justice’s Special Counsel Jack Smith. Smith has accused Trump of being involved in a conspiracy to overturn the presidential election. He has further pushed that had it not been for Trump’s claims about the presidential election, then the deadly January 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection would not have occurred.

Trump has maintained that the cases against him are part of a political “witch hunt” and has maintained that he has committed no wrongdoings.

Additionally, Trump used his speech to refer to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, arguing that during his presidency, he had kept the United States, Israel, and the entire world safe. He then argued that what was “going on” was shocking. He added that while he was in office, enemies of America knew that if American blood were spilled, then the United States “would spill a gallon of your blood.”
