(TheRedWire.com) – Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff has expressed support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) despite it being allegedly linked to the terrorist attack in Israel that took place in October.

Emhoff has been actively backing the fundraising efforts of UNRWA in her personal Instagram account.

UN Watch, a nonprofit United Nations watchdog, executive director Hillel Neuer has slammed Emhoff for her support of UNRWA and has been pushing for her to reconsider. He has also pointed out that the organization has allegedly been associated with the promotion of terrorism and violence. He added that there have been some cases where personnel from the United Nations group had allegedly facilitated terrorist activities.

Neuer argued that if Emhoff understood UNRWA’s stance and how it had promoted murder, he was certain that she would stop the fundraising efforts supporting them.
The UNRWA has a number of employees in Gaza and has often been criticized for its connection to Hamas, the military group that has exerted control over the region since 2006.

Under former President Donald Trump the United States stopped providing aid to UNRWA in 2018, this decision was overturned by President Joe Biden who gave the organization more than $730 million. In January the association of the UNRWA staff with the Hamas attack on Israel had left many nations reviewing the funding they provided after Israel provided evidence of the association.

Israel has claimed that as many as 450 UNRWA employees have some connection to the terrorists in Gaza. They have also claimed that Hamas tunnels have been found under the premises of the organization.
