(TheRedWire.com) – Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) might not be serving in Congress anymore, but she will not be slowing down her work in warning GOP voters about the dangers of former President Donald Trump being reelected in 2024.

An op-ed for The Wall Street Journal pointed out that it was too risky to have Trump reelected in office again. Cheney, who served in the House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023, lost the primary in her state after her challenger, Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.), was backed by Trump.

During her time in the House, she was a chair in the special subcommittee that was tasked with the investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack, during which hundreds of Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building in an attempt to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election results.

In her op-ed, Cheney questioned whether people who had depraved former President Donald Trump had sat back while the Capitol was being attacked and how he had not taken any action to stop the mob for hours. She added that Trump continues to be the same flawed man today.

The former president, who is currently the frontrunner of the 2024 Republican primary race, had previously written on his social media platform, Truth Social, that Cheney was “crazy.” He further dismissed all of her concerns.

This month, Cheney released her book, “Oath and Honor: A Memoir and a Warning” Ever since then, she has been on a press tour that has included a number of interviews and talk show appearances.
