(TheRedWire.com) – In a recent post, Marjorie Taylor Greene warned that if former President Donald Trump chose to have Nikki Haley participate in his next administration, there would be a revolt from MAGA Republicans. The post on X, formerly known as Twitter, came after Lara Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, argued that she could not rule out the possibility that Haley might end up serving as the vice president in another possible Trump administration.
This message was then shared on X by House Republican Matt Gaetz, who simply wrote “correct.”
Lara Trump, during an appearance on Tuesday’s NewsNation show with Eric Bolling, was asked about whether Trump would potentially pick Haley to be his vice president. In response, Lara argued that there had been “crazier” things that had occurred in the past and that when it comes to Donald Trump, she would “never say never.”
These comments led to many right-wingers on social media becoming outraged by these comments.
Recent polls have shown that Haley has been gaining ground and is now competing with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for second place in the 2024 GOP presidential contest. However, DeSantis and Haley continue to have a big margin to go because they can reach the former President.
On Tuesday, the latest polling aggregate website, 538, placed support for Trump at 61.7 percent, while DeSantis had 12.2 percent and Haley 11.3 percent of support.
Following the recent interview, Greene argued that MAGA would revolt if Halley had been given so much as an internship in Trump’s possible second administration.
