(TheRedWire.com) – This week rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs had his home raided due to a federal home trafficking probe. Throughout his career, he has been known to be a vocal supporter of Democrats.
On Monday Homeland Security officials had searched Comb’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami. This was also confirmed by U.S. officials to Fox News. According to the current information the raids were connected to a federal human trafficking investigation.
Combs had previously used his fame in order to support the Democrats, including President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election. Previously his attempts had been closely linked with the push to try and get more Black voters to support eh Democrats.
In August 2020, Combs had been one of the Black individuals that had been part of a letter signed by dozens of people in which they were calling for Biden’s running mate in the 2020 presidential election to be “ambitious”. This claim appears to have been a reference to those who considered Sen. Kamala Harris as having been too “ambitious” to be Biden’s running mate.
The letter continued by arguing that Biden had also been dubbed too ambitious because he had placed a bid for the White House three times. He added questioningly what would happen if former President Barack Obama had not made Biden his VP because of his worries about “loyalty.”
In October 2020 an article in Variety had noted that Combs had endorsed President Biden and that he had previously “played the game” and given his endorsement to Democrats despite the fact that the problems continued.
