(TheRedWire.com) – On Monday, John Cusack took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to blast the Democratic Party elite, who he claimed was “full of s—” and had sold out the working class decades ago.
As he noted, the Democratic elite has been important in creating conditions within the U.S. that have allowed fascism to grow. He added that Obama corporatist democrats were the ones to sell out the working class that this betrayal of history and “brutal selfish horrific actions” that they have been able to get away with.
The star of “High Fidelity” and “Say Anything” continued by pointing out that the party has not promoted politics that are “far-enough-left” and that they had not placed the required attention to many principles. Their choice to show complacency with the wealthy and the trajectory taken by the party was what allowed Trump and other Republicans to win.
He argued that their “Yale and Harvard buddies” would praise them and tell them how smart they were because they were “all in bed with the same big, big money power players.” Finally, he argued that the only reason why Trump successfully promoted his “demagoguery” was because the “Democratic elite ARE full of s—.”
The statement came after a Jacobin Magazine in which it was alleged that some top Democrats were looking to get rid of the federal wealth taxes. As he pointed out in his lengthy statement, the Democrats were going to protect the “.ooooooo1 %” from taxation, which insulted people’s intelligence.
