(TheRedWire.com) – On Monday, MSNBC host Jen Psaki and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi both claimed that it was likely that Russian President Vladimir Putin was blackmailing former President Donald Trump.
Pelosi argued that it was likely that Putin had some leverage against Trump which is why the former President was catering to him. She added that NATO was there to stop Russia and that for the last 75 years, they have been successful in keeping Russia out.
This was a reference to Trump’s campaign rally remarks from Friday where he had called for all of the NATO members to pay their dues. He had proceeded to claim that up until his election, the alliance was “busted” but that after he came along, he called for everyone to pay if they wanted protection.
Pelosi said regarding Trump that he was not a supporter of NATO. She added that usually, she left Trump nameless.
To this, Psaki made a comparison between Trump and Voldemort, who is the villain in the Harry Potter series and is called out as “He Who Shall Not Be Named.”
Psaki proceeded to ask Pelosi what Putin could potentially have as blackmail against Trump. In response, the former President argued that it was most likely “financial.” She added that the other option is that it is something that Trump is expecting to be able to receive.
Pelosi also spoke up against the possibility of Trump winning the 2024 presidential election and argued that they needed to make sure that Trump would never again be the President or step into the White House in any role again.
