(TheRedWire.com) – Former President Donald Trump in a new interview with “Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade attacked President Joe Biden stating that he had missed a “very sad moment” when he had opted to attend a New York City fundraiser instead of appearing in the wake for New York police officer Jonathan Diller.

Trump had told Kilmeade that the President had missed a moment that was sad for the United States and that whether they wanted to or not they were going to be a part of it. He added that this was not a moment they could skip and that never in his life had he seen so many police officers and firemen. He continued by arguing that they needed to get involved because the country was being destroyed.

Trump proceeded with his statement claiming that the United States had no one’s respect anymore and that this was something he spoke about in his speeches and rallies. As he argued the country was in decline and while it was “fixable” they needed to take action incredibly quickly.

On Thursday Biden had been in town for a Democratic fundraising event. At the same time, Trump had been in the city in order to attend the wake for Diller who had been shot while on duty. Biden’s fundraising event at Radio Music Hall had also been attended by former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama as well as many big celebrities.

Trump claimed that Biden politically could not show support for the police, but he added that he believes Biden is making a mistake with this.
